The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide is the sort of book that is best read either while lying on a towel in a sunny, peaceful grassy area that allows your mind to wander and fully take in the Guide’s message, or very very early in the morning (preceeded by reading very very late into the night, often in the same stretch), to the point where everything seems to make perfect sense, the sort of time where you could find yourself discussing toaster physics quite sanely.
I have done both of these today. I got a bit less than four hours of sleep due to inability to put the Guide down, and I have spent the entire afternoon lying on a towel in my backyard mulling over the book’s contents and simultaneously getting a tan. All in all, an excellent way to spend an afternoon.
I also originally had plans to do some sketching and magazine-reading, but those flew out the window.
oh, this is what i wore today and also to easter. originally with a white blazer for covering up, but it detracts.
